Park Avenue Improvements Project
Welcome to the City of Prescott Park Avenue Improvements Project eNews. Motorists and residents are reminded to call the Project Hotline at 541-7825 to speak to a project team member about any questions or concerns.
PARK AVENUE DETOUR ROUTES
The current barricade closure at Glenwood Avenue will remain in place. The Gurley Street barricade has been moved to the south side of Hill Avenue. The Country Club Drive closure has been moved to Copper Basin Road.
Park Avenue is closed between Hill Avenue and Copper Basin Road. Normal school traffic patterns for Lincoln School have been restored.
BLASTING STARTED AND SUCCESSFUL
City Council unanimously approved rock blasting as the most effective way to move this project forward. Blasting will take place on Glenwood Avenue over the next few weeks. The blasting that has taken place has had little to no impact on the surrounding residents. The seismograph readings are well below industry standards in regards to property owner impacts.
SEWER, STORM DRAIN, CONCRETE WORK, AND WATER LINE WORK CONTINUES
Crews are installing new sewer, storm drains, and water lines on Park Avenue between Glenwood Avenue and Country Club Drive. Digging and construction at Glenwood Avenue for the 24-inch storm drain continues. Summit Avenue south of Gurley Street through Glenwood Avenue to Park Avenue will be closed this week for new storm drain installation. Normal traffic operations will be restored during non-work hours. Delays can be expected. Local traffic will be permitted.
In observance of Thanksgiving Day, no work will occur on Thursday or Friday, November 27 or 28.
Please be aware of the following impacts:
