SEWER, STORM DRAIN, AND WATER LINE INSTALLATION CONTINUES

Crews will begin installing new sewer, storm drains, and water lines on Park Avenue between Glenwood Avenue and Country Club Drive next week. Curb, sidewalk, and driveway pouring will take place throughout the week north of Hill Avenue. Summit Avenue south of Gurley Street through Glenwood Avenue to Park Avenue will be closed this week for new storm drain installation. LINCOLN SCHOOL PARENT ACCESS

The City of Prescott and Fann Contracting greatly appreciate cooperation from the community and parents of Lincoln School students during the Park Avenue Improvement Project. The City thanks you for your understanding during construction and for using the detours during both morning and afternoon school hours.

Busing is available and is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to help minimize traffic flow and save time. Bus routes have been updated this year; more information is available through the Transportation Department at 928-717-3229.

For the start of the school year and to accommodate current road improvement work on Park Avenue, Lincoln School has created an alternative for parent drop-off and pick-up. Please refer to the map below.
  • This detour will be permitted:
    Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    Wednesdays 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for early release.

Parents can turn into the Methodist Church parking lot off of Gurley Street and follow that road to Beach Street along the north side of the school. Gate and staff supervision will be present for student drop-off and pick-up. Traffic will be allowed to exit via Beach Street by turning right onto Park Avenue on to Gurley Street.

To create the greatest access for students and parents, there will also be adult supervision and open gates on Coronado Avenue off of Summit Street behind the school.

The parent pick-up area will be for student drop-off and pick-up ONLY. Maintaining traffic movement in order to accommodate all families is essential. Parking will only be available in the designated areas and will not be allowed in parent pick-up lines. Coronado is a residential area and, as a courtesy, please minimize your impact to neighbors as much as possible.
